Islamic Studies and Quran education

A daily programme, not an optional extra

Quran and Islamic Studies are timetabled every day and are examined like any other subject. A student's performance in them appears on the report card and is discussed at parent-teacher meetings.

Nazra Quran

Recitation is taught from the earliest classes, with sustained attention to correct pronunciation and the basic rules of tajweed. Progress is tracked individually so that no student is carried along by the class.

Islamiat and Seerah

The Islamiat syllabus follows the national curriculum. Alongside it, the life of the Prophet ﷺ and the lives of the Companions are taught as a source of practical guidance — on truthfulness, on patience, on how to treat parents, neighbours and those with less than oneself.

Practice at school

Zuhr prayer is offered at school in the designated prayer area under staff supervision. The daily assembly includes recitation, translation and a short reminder. Ramadan, Eid and other occasions in the Islamic calendar are marked as part of school life.

Duas and daily adab

Younger classes learn the everyday supplications — before eating, on entering and leaving the home, before sleeping — together with the manners that accompany them. The intention is that faith is carried home as habit, not recited only for a test.
